Triple (alliance): Any alliance in Diplomacy formed by three players.

Triple Alliance: An alliance featuring Germany, Austria and Turkey. Named after the alliance of the same name in WWI. Sometimes the name used for the CENTRAL TRIPLE ALLIANCE of Germany, Austria and Italy, for the same reason but erroneously so: in WWI, Italy entered the conflict as part of the Triple Alliance but never fought as an ally of Germany and Austria.

Triple Entente: An alliance featuring England, France and Russia. Named after the alliance of the same name in WWI.

Trust: A weapon to use when you can’t think of anything else.

Turn: Each game year has two turns, a Spring turn and a Fall (or Autumn for some of the UK Dip players) turn. The Spring turn features a Diplomacy Phase (occasionally with an additional Order Writing Phase and an Adjudication Phase), and a Retreats Phase. The Fall turn features the same, with an additional Adjustments Phase which might be split into a separate Winter turn.
